<p>The Somali Cardiac Society is pleased to announce the election of its new five-member Executive Council. The elected members are: 1. Dr. Abdullahi Mohamed Hassan (Fujeyra) — President 2. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Guled — Vice-President and Head of International Cooperation 3. Dr. Mahad Abdulkadir Ali — General Secretary 4. Dr. Said Abdirahman Ahmed — Head of Finance 5. Dr. Yahye Abdullahi Ali (Dr Yahye Arale) — Head of Continuing Medical Education, Education and Training The Executive Council will focus on strengthening the Society’s governance, membership services, professional education, research, clinical standards, public awareness, institutional partnerships and financial sustainability. The new leadership will prioritize continuing medical education, practical cardiovascular training, research development, community outreach and advocacy for equitable access to safe, affordable and high-quality cardiovascular care across Somalia. The Executive Council will work closely with Somali Cardiac Society members, hospitals, universities, government institutions, professional associations and national and international partners to improve cardiovascular prevention, diagnosis, referral and treatment services. The Somali Cardiac Society congratulates all five elected members and wishes them success in advancing the Society’s mission and serving Somalia’s cardiovascular community.</p>
