<p>The Somali Cardiac Society, in collaboration with the Somali Medical Association, marked World Heart Day 2024 through community outreach and a scientific program under the global theme “Use Heart for Action.” The community outreach was conducted on 26 September 2024 at Deynile IDP Camp in Mogadishu. Healthcare professionals provided free cardiovascular screening, health education and basic medical support to displaced families, including children, mothers and older people. The activity promoted early detection of cardiovascular risk factors and increased awareness of heart disease prevention. The scientific program was held on 29 September 2024 at Nova Diagnostic & Research Hall. It brought together healthcare professionals for presentations and discussions on important cardiovascular topics. The program covered: • Management of atrial fibrillation• Latest updates in the management of hypertension• Management of acute coronary syndrome• Cardiovascular disease prevention The celebration combined public awareness, community service and professional education, reflecting the Society’s commitment to preventing cardiovascular disease and improving heart health across Somalia.</p>
