The Somali Cardiac Society held a scientific seminar titled “Coronary Artery Revascularization: PCI vs CABG” at Nova Hall in Mogadishu. The program examined the roles of percutaneous coronary intervention and coronary artery bypass grafting in treating patients with coronary artery disease. Dr. Ilyas Mohamed, Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialist, and Dr. Mohamed Guled, Consultant Cardiologist, delivered the principal lectures. An expert panel of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons contributed to the clinical discussion. The program promoted multidisciplinary decision-making between cardiologists and cardiac surgeons and highlighted the importance of selecting the most appropriate treatment according to each patient’s clinical condition and coronary anatomy.
