Submissions are evaluated by the Scientific Committee according to scientific quality, relevance, originality, methodology, and potential impact on cardiovascular care
Cardiovascular Relevance
Relevance to cardiovascular disease, care, prevention, surgery, rehabilitation, or health systems
Local Relevance & Impact
Priority to work addressing cardiovascular challenges and healthcare needs relevant to Somalia
Clear Objective
A clearly defined research question, objective, or purpose
Methodological Quality
Appropriate study design, population, methods, and analysis
Results & Evidence
Actual results must be presented and clearly reported
Conclusion
Conclusions should be clear and supported by the reported results
Originality
Preference for original work; previous presentation or publication must be disclosed
Ethical Compliance
Ethical approval or exemption where applicable, with patient confidentiality maintained
Scientific Integrity
No plagiarism, fabricated data, falsification, or inappropriate duplicate submission
Practical Value
Contribution to improving cardiovascular care, services, or capacity in Somalia
